Music is Vice

Vice believes that music production and song writing is an outlet for creativity in a not so perfect realm. Although inspired by and drawn from a higher, infinitely intelligent source, upon human interaction, the shades of divine perfection which were complete and ideal in the abstract will fracture to become ill-lit impressions of their origin. 

Just as beams of sunlight which have passed through tinted glass become darker and characterized, when mankind attempts to recreate his own rendition of his true muse in this space and time, elements of lower nature inevitably infiltrate the legacy. Humans are that conduit; we are that sin. 

It’s not just about the beat. Combining fingers with pad is a far too simplistic generalization about how a final product should be fashioned. Vice accepts the credo that without some spiritual deliverance and an understanding into what guides us, music itself would be illusory. Conversely, acceptance of our mortality and basely nature will help us - and our music creations – evolve and aspire. 

Vice and the Metronomes Clique collaborate with talent they believe to inspire timeless hip-hop music, not only artists considered the future of the genre. Networking with like-minded contributors, they aim to ascend over the doldrums of low industry standards to reach the pinnacle of worldly musical creation.
